The Rotterdam Yacht Centre is offering Dutch-built yacht enthusiasts the charter of a lifetime: a cruise on the new Hakvoort BN241. The first yacht constructed for chartering under the new Dutch government rules for Commercial Cruising Vessels (CCV), the sleek 45-metre craft is designed for long range ocean cruising and is built to Lloyds and MCA. The steel-hulled yacht’s twin 960 hp Caterpillar engines produce a maximum speed of 13.4 knots and a cruising speed of 11.3 knots. Representing an entirely new phase in Dutch yachtbuilding, she’s a paragon of Dutch design and a shining tribute to the skills of Holland’s Shipyard Hakvoort. Her classical details include the majestic blue hull as well as, more subtly, the teak caprails and veneered recesses around the windows. Her exterior is characterized by numerous details finished in warm teak veneer.
The BN241’s length and layout is perfectly configured for carrying 10 guests including the owners in seafaring style, along with accommodation for a captain and 8 crew members. Designed by Cor de Rover with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design and a stunning interior by Felix Buytendijk, the yacht is classically styled and characterized by elegant understatement. Her main deck features a master stateroom plus owner’s office, saloon and dining area. A lounge with bar is also found on the bridge deck as well as the captain’s cabin. A wealth of outdoor relaxation facilities include large open seating areas on the aft decks and a sun deck with bar, Jacuzzi and pads. RYC has listed her for charter on JamesList for €175,000 per week. Ship ahoy!
